There are 2 types of teams:

1. A team that simply wants to walk or run together.  This can include walkers and runners, adults and kids.

2. A team that wants to walk and/or run together, but also would like to have donations made in their teams name.

1.  Teams to run/walk as a team:

This could include both runners and walkers as well as kids and adults.

  • The team should decide what their name should be (e.g. Portland Girl Scouts)
  • Each individual should register to run or walk
  • On the question that asks "what team are you participating with?" fill in the name of your team as decided by the group (so if you decided that "Portland Girl Scouts" is your team name, no one should be filling in "Girl Scouts" or "Troop 518".)
  • If someone joins your team after they've already finished registering, they should be able to edit their registration details until March 14th.
  • If someone has trouble joining your team, wants to join after March 14th, or you have any questions, email wallace.sallie@gmail.com

2.  Teams that also want to fund-raise, or have donations made in their team name, must register individually following the steps above to run/walk together.  Then follow the steps below.

  • Your team should select a team captain to create your fundraising page.
  • The team captain should go to the event page on Imathlete.com and select "become a fundraiser" from the right hand column, under "donate now"
  • Under "fundraising details" select that you want to raise money as a team. Then select "create a new team" and fill in the decided name of your team in the blank.
  • Fill in all of the fields and preview your page.
  • Go live with your page and send the link to our site to all of your friends. Tell people to click on "donate now" and select "yes" that they want to "donate to a specific individual or team" then have them select your team name and fill in their credit card information.
  • Email wallace.sallie@gmail.com if there are any questions.
